The AMF three-phase Brake Motor offers a very high-torque AC brake (1.5 to 250Nm) with double braking surface as standard.
It suits heavy-duty applications, as well as applications that require high-frequency braking combined with power and precise operation.
Applications include cranes, lifting gear for work platforms, industrial hoists, heavy load work transfer and heavy work piece manoeuvring/positioning.
The AMF offers a rapid brake on/off capability combined with adjustable braking torque.
It is available in frame sizes from 63 to 160 with power outputs from 0.12 to 22kW, with the same speed range as a Lafert standard motor.
It can also be supplied with a DC brake as an option.
The AMBY series has a DC high-torque brake (1.8 to 250Nm) with a double braking surface as standard.
The motor offers progressive noiseless braking and its wide range of add-on options, such as encoders, axial independent cooling fan hand release lever and special brake designs.
The silent operation and precise positioning offered by these capabilities has resulted in the use of Lafert AMBY brake motors for the scenery movement systems in the recently refurbished La Scala and La Fenice theatres in Italy.
A recent redesign of the AMBY motors has reduced the number of brake components employed.
